Savas Karas founded Enterprise Solutions Group, Inc. in January 1994. Mr. Karas is the practice leader for the Business Process Solutions practice.
Mr. Karas is an expert with international experience in full-scale Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) and Enterprise Improvement. His BPR experience includes re-engineering processes for health, service, manufacturing, retail, financial, and governmental organizations to improve performance, quality, reduce lag/lead times, and comply with legal requirements and accounting standards. Mr. Karas has redesigned full-scale processes for large and complex organizations including FedEx, Ford Motor Company, Lucent Technologies, U.S. Customs Service, U.S. Treasury, U.S. Postal Service, Kaiser Permenente, and the Government of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Mr. Karas is an accomplished and experienced speaker on such topics as Process Improvement, Customer Service, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and the Integration of Business Process and Technology.
Prior to founding Enterprise Solutions Group, Mr. Karas was a consultant with PriceWaterhouse and a manager with Booz-Allen and Hamilton.
Mr. Karas graduated from Loyola College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Information Systems from Loyola College, Sellinger School of Business. Mr. Karas has completed post-graduate work in Accounting and Law at American University. Mr. Karas is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Managerial Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified in Production and Inventory Management (Fellow), and a Six Sigma black belt. Mr. Karas also holds several information systems certifications.
